About this property

Set on a working farm within 20 acres of private pasture, and nestled beside the private fishing pond, this beautiful dog friendly Log cabin was constructed by hand by the owners from logs felled in Estonia. Embraced by woodland and bird song, with a log burner, a private secure garden and terrace, and exclusive access to the fishing pond, The Log Cabin is the perfect escape. Unwind in front of the log burner, cosying up with a book or your favourite film, or step outside to take advantage of this unique location, surrounded by towering trees and woodland walks straight from the doorstep.

Guests can throw open the French doors of the master bedroom to enjoy morning coffee on the patio. The well-equipped kitchen has everything you need to prepare leisurely breakfasts or hearty evening meals, while the dining area and comfortable furnishings make it easy to settle in and feel at home. The twin bedroom offers a comfortable place to rest, while the modern shower room features a large walk-in shower and heated towel rail. The Log Cabin includes all the comforts of home with a smart TV, WIFI, washer dryer, and microwave. There is also a selection of timeless books and games which are sure to occupy all ages of guests.

Close to the 12th-century ruins of Burscough Priory, The Log Cabin is well placed for exploring the area's history and countryside. Nearby, you'll find Burscough Wharf, the Leeds and Liverpool Canal, and the market town of Ormskirk, with a range of independent shops, cafés, restaurants and pubs. The cabin is also within easy reach of the villages of Mawdesley, Croston and Parbold, offering plenty of opportunities for walking and exploring the local countryside. For days out further afield, Liverpool, Southport and Formby Beach are all easily accessible. Whether you're looking for a relaxing countryside break or a base for exploring the surrounding area, The Log Cabin is well positioned to enjoy both.
