The Shippon is a beautiful, detached house resting in a working farm on the outskirts of Burscough, with charming character features, local amenities, and a garden making it ideal for families and friends seeking a characterful base in Lancashire. Park up and be welcomed into this delightful property, with handcrafted windows, doors and stairs adding to its character, with an open-plan living space where tasteful décor melds seamlessly with traditional features. Here the exposed brick detailing add charm as you make a hearty meal at the oak dining table or sitting area, surrounded by ornate real wood furnishings that continue throughout the kitchen, living space and bedrooms, and from here there is also a handy utility.
The living/dining space welcomes groups to enjoy social mealtimes together, or to curl up beside the open fire with a good book. When sleep calls, four beautiful bedrooms await your rest, each with vaulted ceilings threaded with wooden roof beams, velux windows, and their own character and charm. Choose between two double bedrooms, a king-size with a handy en-suite and a large walk-in wardrobe, and a twin, serviced by a sleek shower room. Outside, make the most of the sunshine by dining alfresco in the garden at the French farmhouse-style outdoor table and chairs, enjoying the mature trees whilst unwinding to the sounds of birdsong in this peaceful farm setting.
There is so much to be explored with a memorable stay at The Shippon. Note: This property can be booked with ref. 1208452 sleeping up to 12 guests.
Nestled within West Lancashire in the North West of England, to the north of Ormskirk and Skelmersdale, lies Burscough.
