About this property

Bleasdale is nestled in the beautiful Lancashire countryside, within easy reach of both the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales. The site features five individual safari tents; Snipe, Curlew, Mallard, Redshank, and Plover, each accommodating up to six guests. You have the option to book the entire site or choose from any of the five individual tents. Bleasdale is an ideal destination for a family getaway. You can relax in one of the spacious safari tents, each fully equipped with a cosy wood-burning stove, hot running water, and comfortable bedrooms.

Each of our luxury Lantern and Larks tents accommodates six guests and has three bedrooms that each sleep two people. There is one king size room, one twin room and one bunk bed room per tent. You could also fit a travel cot in any of the bedrooms (these can be hired, if required).

If the full site isn’t available, you can check the individual listings, as some of them may still be available.

Our Lantern and Larks glamping site is situated above a private section of the River Brock. Build dams, catch sticklebacks, wander down the sleepy river banks to quiet pools in the dappled shade of the overhanging trees. Or build dens and camps in the wood behind the tents. It's a natural adventure playground for your kids.

From our beautiful forest of Bowland Lantern and Larks site, there is direct access to the local footpath network, and you can visit the Stone Age circle located 20 minutes' walk from your tent. A little further on and you reach the open access area of the Bowland Fells where you can walk for miles without seeing a car – or even other people. All this without going near a public road.

For the more intrepid, there are the local cycle networks and bridleways close to the luxury Lantern & Larks Bleasdale glamping campsite. Cycle to the nearby Beacon Fell Country Park from the glamping camp site, or to the pretty village of Chipping with its pubs, cafes and ice cream shop! If this seems a little hard work, there is a business hiring electric bicycles located on the estate.

If other forms of transport appeal, there are local horse-riding centres close by and they specialise in taking riders on treks round the local riding network. Or take a cruise on the Lancaster canal from the Barton Grange Garden Centre – only 10 minutes away.

The local wildlife can be stunning with everything from glimpses of deer in the valley below your tents to the famous "sky dancer" or hen harrier on the fells above you. If your tastes run to the more exotic, we have the Bowland Wild Boar Park a 20-minute drive away, and for those keen on catching the local wildlife, there are several fishing lakes in the area, ranging from pike and perch to trout and salmon.

We’ve been visiting Lantern and Larks at Bleasdale for years, and always have a wonderful time. It’s so nice to switch off from the outside world, and spending the evening around a fire watching the owl swoop along the valley is incredible!

Unique accommodation in a tranquil spot. The safari tents were so comfortable, fully equipped with comfy beds. The log burner oven was fantastic! We loved having time to unwind, watch the barn owl, the sunsets and relax.
