The Old Stables is a luxury Grade II listed, spacious, oak beamed property with a wood burning stove and exposed brickwork. Convenient for Chester, Liverpool and Manchester. The property has outstanding views over the Cheshire countryside to the coast and also offers a stable and a large parking area. Situated in the countryside offering the benefit of a quiet and relaxing holiday, yet only 5 miles from Cheshire Oaks designer outlet village and the Blue Planet Aquarium. Transport links are excellent with Chester being only 8 miles away with its famous Rows, cathedral and world-renowned zoo. Manchester and Liverpool just 30 minutes away. All can be reached by train with a regular service available from Helsby Station, which is just over a mile from the property. Golf and windsurfing available nearby, whilst Delamere Forest is just 10 minutes away and home to walking, cycling and Segway trails, Go Ape, horse riding and Forest Live concerts. Shops 1 mile, pub with good food and real ale 300 yards.

Enjoyed our stay. Beds comfortable.Fridge unstable in the unit. Not much cupboard space for food.

The accommodation was very cosy and we appreciated the log burner as the weather turned cold and wet! The bedroom and bathroom layouts were perfect, and The beds were comfortable. (Although our friends commented that the duvet on their large double bed could have been more appropriately sized.)

Great location, very peaceful and lovely views. very well equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Some areas of the property feel a bit tired and could do with updating and it was not as clean as I would have expected (dirty placemats, old food crumbs in some of the drawers as examples, cobwebs) but no major isues.
