Really beautiful lodge, the garden is the selling point, and beautiful views. Getting to see horses in the field just behind the fence, beautiful unobstructed views. We celebrated our dogs 2nd birthday here and it was absolutely perfect, the host Sue was wonderful. Feedback I'd give is having a designated area for dogs, there was a grass area and fields behind us but as these weren't enclosed and this was a working farm it did put me on edge. To walk anywhere meant we had to walk on the road which isn't ideal so having something like this or having a field thats enclosed or dedicated for dogs would have made this absolutely perfect plus having a metal poo bin instead of putting this in the general waste which was behind the bedroom. Guests have to provide details of who's coming so if they have a dog a nice touch would have been to have had a treat or a something nice to welcome a dog or the guests. I find outstanding guestures like providing milk, butter, bread or something else makes you feel really welcomed by a host but this is just a suggestion. We absolutely loved staying here

We only live 20 minutes down the road but felt like we were far in the countryside. The Hosts where do friendly and helpful even before our trip began. You were left to it and didnt feel any intrusion. We were there for a week and had rubbish weather but was still able to make the most of the facilities. Will be visiting again.
