A spacious house in a lovely location. Ideal for exploring the Peak District. The owners, who live in adjoining property were welcoming.A few things to note - not meant to be critical, but hopefully helpful. There is no tumble dryer as stated in details, and no plans to have one. Tricky when weather was wet and we were muddy! There are no shaver sockets - so take an adapter for electric toothbrushes! There isn’t an abundance of sockets as you won’t be suprised at in a property of this age. Wi- fi isn’t great which grandchildren found frustrating as they brought school work to do.There is only one small oven - we had to cook pizza in relays! But not a huge issue.Sitting room would benefit from a couple of floor lamps as a bit dark in places for reading.Heating is controlled by the owners from their property. The house isn’t the warmest of places, especially the kitchen. We had to ask for heating to be turned on ( at 6pm) a couple of times which felt very awkward! We bought logs to supplement the heating for the sitting room at a cost of nearly £40. Did help dry wet stuff though! The house is comfortable but dated, which we didn’t find an issue.

Good little cottage. Owners live next door and are very helpful and friendly. Quite a steep drive onto the main road. Cottage very characterful. Good value for the money we paid.
