On the ground floor there is also a handy cloakroom, and stunning views of the local area throughout. As night falls and the stars come out, make your way outside and you can enjoy time alfresco drinking and dining on the decking area. Step into the elevated hot tub which is positioned in a covered area so you can enjoy its benefits all-year round and as you submerge yourself in the warming bubbles, you can soak up the incredible rural views, guaranteed to help you soak away all those worries. As bedtime beckons, climb the stairs and fall into the sumptuous king-size bed and thanks to the feature cottage windows, you can continue to enjoy the spectacular countryside views over the Derbyshire peaks from bed. This bedroom features two bedside lamps with tables, charging ports, a tall mirror, a chair bed, and there is a travel cot and highchair on request. There is also a hanging area with robes. The picturesque village of Matlock is only a short drive away, and is a Victorian market town with plenty of shops, restaurants, pubs, and from here you will find Matlock Bath, home to the Peak District Mining Museum, Heights of Abraham, Gulliver’s Kingdom theme park, and the great Rutland Cavern. Towns such as Bakewell, Ashford in the Water, Monsel Head, Castleton, and Buxton are ideal for a day trip. For golf enthusiasts, there are a selection of great courses nearby, as well as the famous Red Lion Pub and restaurant, and the wonderful Highfirlds Farm Shop, serving fabulous breakfasts, cakes, and coffees. If you’re looking for a romantic countryside getaway, then Cherry Tree Cottage ticks all the boxes.
The historic market town of Chesterfield acts as the gateway to the Peak District, and has much to offer visitors. The town is famous for its 14th Century church with "Crooked Spire", twisting curiously from its true centre, while the frequent bustling market days are ideal for exploring the many different specialist shops and stalls which line the old Market Hall and charming Shambles beyond. The town also boasts Queens Park, with its lake, walks and summer bandstand, as well as a museum and theatre. Nearby, the Elizabethan Hardwick Hall is still impressive today, with its 6 grand towers elaborately monogramed with Bess of Hardwick’s initials, overlooking the superb gardens and walled courtyards of the grounds. Also popular is the semi-ruined 17th Century mansion of Bolsover Castle, set high on a wooded hilltop, looking west towards the heights of the Peak District. Chesterfield has a host of other attractions within easy reach, such as Chatsworth and Haddon Hall, the amenities of Matlock and Bakewell, or the opera at Buxton. An interesting base for a varied break.

Only negative was there was no terrestrial TV, which was disappointing seeing as you are in the property in the evenings due to the location of the property.
