Walk just 100 metres from the front door and you will reach Bakewell’s many shops, quaint cafes, pubs and restaurants. Bakewell sits on the River Wye, an ideal place to sit and watch the world go by. Chatsworth House and Gardens can be reached in under 5 miles. Famous for its rich history, historic and modern waterworks and sculptures, and its Victorian rock garden and maze, there is something for everyone in the 105-acre garden. Castleton is 13 miles away and hosts the famous Blue John stone, caverns and cave tours. Visit the picturesque Monsal Trail just 3 miles away which offers 8.5 miles of scenic walking and cycling along the former Midland Railway line.
