Guests say

Robin's Nest in Bakewell is highly praised for its cleanliness, charming character, and central yet quiet location. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, comfortable furnishings, and thoughtful touches like welcome packs. The secure courtyard adds to the sense of safety. Despite minor parking challenges, the property's convenience and cosiness make it a standout choice for a delightful stay in the Peak District.

Guests consistently commend the property for its spotless presentation and cleanliness. One minor mention of mould in a shower area suggests room for improvement, but overall, the high standards are evident.

The central location is highly appreciated for its proximity to local amenities and attractions. The secure and quiet setting within a courtyard is also noted positively, although parking is mentioned as a slight inconvenience.

The cottage receives praise for its comfortable beds and cosy atmosphere. A single comment about a firm mattress suggests that while comfort is generally excellent, preferences may vary.

Facilities are well-regarded, with a well-equipped kitchen and great showers. There are suggestions for minor improvements, such as the addition of a coat stand and Prosecco glasses, and a note about a broken bin lid.

The thoughtfulness of the hosts is frequently mentioned, with guests delighted by welcome packs and personal touches. While these gifts are warmly received, it is politely noted that such extras, while common, are not guaranteed.

Well looked after. Nice welcome pack, tea coffee sugar, biscuits, loaf and milk. Also nice selection of toiletries. Only negative is the parking and I did get a ticket while unloading, the parking attendant did say if someone had waited in the car whilst unloading he wouldn’t have given a ticket, my mum has Parkinson’s so took us more than 5 minutes to get her in cottage, which is how we got the ticket, I explained to the warden but he said unfortunately once he’d issued nothing he could do. Just something to be aware of but other than that a brilliant stay.

Location was perfect. Quirkiness of the cottage plus the high quality was perfect. Highly recommended.

We had really comfortable beds and quality bedding and situated in a great location. The kitchen had plenty of the necessary equipment and we loved sitting out in the courtyard in the morning and evening. We will definitely return!
