The Tom Wragg Suite in Bakewell offers a comfortable stay with stunning countryside views, ample space, and a well-equipped kitchen. Guests appreciate the property's cleanliness, the farm's charm, and the helpfulness of the owners. While some guests encountered issues with Wi-Fi connectivity and maintenance, the overall experience is positive, with the property's location being ideal for exploring the Peak District & Derbyshire Dales.
The property generally receives positive remarks for cleanliness, with guests finding it clean and comfortable. However, there are mentions of dog mess in the garden and a sticky kitchen table, slightly affecting the score.
The location is highly praised for its beautiful views and proximity to Bakewell and Matlock, making it an excellent base for exploring the area. The working farm setting adds to the charm, although farm odours are occasionally noted.
Guests find the beds comfortable and the property spacious enough for large groups. Some concerns about noisy plumbing and a lack of handrails slightly detract from the overall comfort.
The property is well-furnished with a large TV and adequately stocked kitchen. However, issues with Wi-Fi, insufficient towels, and flickering lights suggest room for improvement in facilities and maintenance.
There is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate the owners' thoughtfulness in providing extra amenities or welcoming gestures. Therefore, this score cannot be assessed.

They are obviously working very hard on their farm. However, they weren't very happy with me contacting them as regularly as I needed to for help with the problems we had. The farm smell was overwhelming as we're very close to the cow sheds. We needed help immediately because if the wind blows the wrong way the smell of the sess pit comes into the bathrooms. 1 table cloth made eating at the table difficult for 4 days as it couldn't be wiped down. The actual table is incredibly sticky, needs sanding and re varnishing. I asked for some spare table cloths and got 1 extra, so I ended up washing them and eventually went and bought my own. One of the farm dogs paid visits to our back door and barked at our dog, driving her crazy inside the cottage. Another night, she also barked at us outside, off lead. This meant I called the owners again and was reminded they get up early to milk and we'd awaken them. A different farm dog poo'd right outside our front door. One of the chairs at the dining table collapsed with me on it. I fell onto the floor and called asking for new chairs. I was simply asked if I could wait until morning. No one asked if I was OK. 2 chairs were dropped outside in the morning. I don't think that's ok. I don't think you work closely with the owners to resolve issues do you? Most of these issues are already published... some of these issues can just be resolved. It is a shame because they seem super nice, have a beautiful spot to share with guests and have a gorgeous working farm.

Large lounge with great TV, just internet connection/wifi not good in there so spent more time around the kitchen table. All bedding and towels great. Be prepared for visits from the farm dogs but not too much of an issue. Plenty of crockery, dishwasher tablets provided along with some tea bags, coffee, biscuits and unpasteurised milk. Would use the cottages again.

The Suite itself was clean, tidy with good facilities. However, the garden for our dogs was not secure and people didn't pick up there dogs mess. We understand it is a working farm but the farm dog appeared outside our back door several times and was quite threatening and the pooh at front and back of the Suite was the farm dog. As I suffer from arthritis in my hands I found the shower in the en-suite was very difficult to turn on. Also the WiFi didn't work in most of the Suite. However, we enjoyed our stay.
