A short walk into the nearest town of Bakewell where the river Derwent passes through making for a tranquil town stroll. You are a short drive from Chatsworth House where you can take in a historic experience learning about the house, the family and the blooming gardens that surround it. You are spoilt for choice with walks and trails, closely by is the Monsal Head trail or further afield is Tissington plus many many more, and if you don’t fancy taking the car out, there is plenty to explore from the doorstep.
Nearby are village pubs in Monyash, both offering tasty homemade meals and local ales. Burton Manor Farm has everything to offer to make a fantastic and memorable stay in the Peak District with you family and friends. Pub and restauant 1½ miles.

What an absolutely glorious place. If we ever won the lottery, my wife and I would love to actually live somewhere like this. This is an absolutely gorgeous area, quiet and picturesque. There were other groups in the other, smaller Lets, but you wouldn't know they were there if it wasnt for the cars parked. The bedrooms were all very comfortable and clean. The shower I used in the en-suite was super! It's a working farm, so be aware that there are cows that will make a noise and do make certain aromas. There are flies. Now we absolutely knew this would be the case, and never bothered us whatsoever. Unlike a comment overheard. Which was quite comical, about the smell. It's what the countryside should smell like. There are sheep, goats, donkeys, and alpacas in the fields too, which were lovely to watch. We were well equipped anyway, but the lovely town of Bakewell is an extremely short drive away, or a better short stroll. There's everything you could need for a short, or long, stay. TV's if you like, free WiFi, just absolutely perfect. A well equipped kitchen with everything needed to cook a full English breakfast for our party of 7 adults, 1 child, 2 dogs. We bought some eggs to take home and also home made scented candles and even, as a token of our thanks, a child had done paintings to buy, we bought one as a reminder for our wonderful weekend.

Tired, in need of updating & maintenance, lacking sockets etc, micro en suite poor, loose seat, unable to get over tiny sink due to mirror cabinet, shower fittings difficult to use , however very clean.
