Guests say

Matlock Views is a well-regarded holiday cottage, praised for its cleanliness, welcoming warmth, and the added luxury of a hot tub. Its location in Matlock offers convenience and proximity to local attractions, with the town's amenities just a short walk away. Guests appreciate the comfortable furnishings and the property's suitability for groups and families, though some mention the challenge of a steep hill. Thoughtful touches, such as provided essentials and cleanliness, contribute to a pleasant stay, although these extras should not be expected.

The majority of guests found the property to be very clean and well-maintained, with several positive comments on its spotlessness. However, a few guests mentioned issues with cleanliness, such as dust and crumbs, which slightly lowers the score.

The property's location is generally praised for its proximity to Matlock's town centre and attractions. However, the steep hill is frequently mentioned as a challenge, which may affect those with mobility issues or preferences.

Guests often describe the property as comfortable, with special mentions of the warm atmosphere and comfortable bedrooms. Some guests noted the beds were too hard and the rooms could be too light, suggesting room for improvement in comfort.

Facilities like the hot tub are a highlight, though there are comments about its over-chlorination and heating issues. The kitchen is well-stocked, but some guests noted a lack of certain items like high chairs or utensils. Maintenance issues like sharp carpet grippers slightly detract from the score.

While many guests appreciated the thoughtful touches such as biscuits, shower gels, and other provided essentials, there is no consistent mention of gifts, and therefore it is not possible to score this category. It should be noted that such extras are a bonus and not guaranteed.

Clean and well presented. Perfect for exploring the Peak District.

The location was on a steep hill and would be difficult for some people but this didn’t impact our stay. A short walk into Matlock, that has a good selection of bars, restaurants and shops. We would definitely recommend booking this property and look forward to returning.

A great location (although our legs did feel the hill after a couple of days!) We would definitely stay again!
