Pickle Cottage receives glowing praise for its cosy atmosphere, well-equipped kitchen, and welcoming hosts. Guests appreciate the dog-friendly approach, spacious bedrooms, and excellent access to beautiful countryside walks and local pubs. The cottage is described as clean, comfortable, and ideal for families or groups. Minor issues such as parking, occasional maintenance needs, and limited local dining options are mentioned but do not detract from the overwhelmingly positive experience. The friendly community and thoughtful touches make it a memorable stay for many.

Multiple reviews highlight the cottage as clean, spotless, and well-maintained. Only one review mentions some outside clutter and a minor issue with light bulbs, but these are exceptions rather than the norm.

The location is frequently praised for its proximity to stunning walks, local pubs, and the beautiful Peak District. Guests enjoy the peaceful setting and easy access to nearby attractions, with only minor comments about limited public transport on Sundays and parking challenges.

Guests consistently describe the cottage as cosy, warm, and comfortable, with spacious bedrooms and a welcoming atmosphere. Some mention the main living area is snug for larger groups, and the mezzanine requires care for taller adults, but overall comfort is highly rated.

The cottage is well-equipped, especially the kitchen, and offers good water pressure, games for children, and pet-friendly amenities. A few guests note minor maintenance issues (oven use, lighting, outside clutter), but these are addressed promptly by the host.

Guests appreciate thoughtful touches such as dog towels, games for children, and prompt assistance from the host. While some mention these extras, please note that such gifts or amenities are not guaranteed for every stay.

It was ideal for our group of four adults, four children and a dog. Jane the owner could not have been more friendly and helpful. The locals in the attached pub also made us feel welcome. The kitchen was really well equipped with everything we needed. The cottage was sensibly furnished as it caters for children and pets and the upstairs outside area was very useful as the weather was unusually warm for Derbyshire. There were many places nearby to visit for both adults and children. I’m sure we will return in the future. Regards John
