We travelled from Fife, Scotland and visited various local attractions plus Alton towers which was a 50 minute drive away. There was a Sainsbury's and an Aldi both 10 drive away and a co-op and a few takeaways 2 minutes away. Peak shopping village was about 15 minutes away. There was plenty of space for everyone and plenty of seating in the lounge and at the dining table. Electric Oven took some getting use to, but I think this was just because we have a gas cooker at home. There is plenty of kitchen ware, cutlery etc and a dishwasher. There's a washing machine and a tumble dryer which was amazing with 5 kids with us. There was a problem with the en suite shower, a leak was coming through to the living room (we did send a text about this, we think it was either the drain or possibly the seal at the wall as there was no water outside of the shower on the floor) so after the first use we avoided using it for the rest of the stay to prevent any damage, meaning there was only one shower between 9 of us but we managed, having 4 toilets was a big bonus though. Beds were comfy and there's plenty of space for clothes. Parking was ok, but we only had 2 cars between us and the cottage next door had 3 cars between them, there was a diagram to show how and where to park but we felt this just wouldn't work unless everyone had small cars so we parked at the front of the house and my parents parked at the back outside the garage doors. All in all we had a lovely stay and wouldn't hesitate to return and recommend to others

A member of the group had stayed in Torestyn next door a few times previously and recommended either cottage would be good. Plenty of seats in the lounge for us all. Higher back support sofas would have been even better. Very well equipped throughout, warm and comfortable. Having 2 fridges was a bonus as we were out during the day but were able to take a good supply of food and drink for evenings. Another shower would be great. There are 2 and 2 baths but a larger number of adults would benefit from an additional shower. Well equipped kitchen, plenty of space throughout the house. Although the house is close to a busy road the noise is minimal. The location was perfect for us, giving us easy access to Bakewell, Chatsworth, shops etc. Parking could be a little difficult if both houses had a larger number of cars to park but there are additional spaces available to both round the back. Already booked for later in the year,
