A dining table also rests here and can seat up to four guests so you can enjoy a delicious meal together and toast to a wonderful holiday break with a refreshing glass of wine in hand.

Walk through to the sitting room which features a woodburning stove encased in a small inglenook fireplace to keep the room nice and toasty during those cooler winter months; cosy up on the plush sofas and spend a sociable evening together as a group. As the evening draws to a close, choose from two bedrooms, set up as a double and twin with a selection of furniture for storing your personal belongings. On this floor, you will also find a family bathroom with the choice of an elegant bath or shower over so you can prepare for your day in style.

To the rear is an enclosed garden with lawn and patio areas so you can step out and enjoy the fresh country air and watch the sunrise with a good book in hand. Pull on your walking boots and hop in the car for a scenic drive to the Peak District National Park for outstanding hikes with unrivalled landscapes.

To get involved with some watersporting activities, venture towards the Carsington Water, particularly excellent for fishing and sailing opportunities. Further afield is the larger parts of the Peak District National Park which are well-worth exploring, such as the Dovedale nature reserve and thriving market town of Ashbourne, Bakewell and Chatsworth. White House is the ideal holiday spot for parents and children over the age of 10.
