Flexible sleeping arrangements suited us well, well equipped kitchen provided plenty of cooking pans and utensils for all meals. And plenty of plates, cutlery, mugs etc for everyone. Dish washer was heavily used! The field near the house is a useful play area for younger children to let off steam and the local area provides plenty of opportunities for walking, cycling, running and providing entertainment for the children, Lydgate farm is set in stunning countryside. We had bikes and lots of walking/wellington boots, space was a bit cramped for all that equipment. No washing machine is a disadvantage that has to be planned for.

The property was clean, spacious, toasty warm and a most comfortable place to spend a weekend. It was very well-equipped too and tastefully furnished & decorated throughout. As it is surrounded by beautiful countryside, we also loved the fact that there were plenty of walks right on the doorstep and we found two friendly pubs in The Angler's Rest and The Queen's Arms, also within walking distance. I would definitely recommend a stay in Broadway Barn - a real gem of a find for family and large group getaways.
