If you and your family are looking for a more sedate day, head west along the scenic Sett Valley Trail to New Mills, where you'll find the tranquil Torrs Riverside Park. Chapel-en-le-Frith, with its cobbled marketplace and historic old stocks, and Whaley Bridge, with its canal basin and a good selection of local amenities, are both within a short drive from one another and are both wonderful High Peak communities.
