The property has stunning views from all sides of the accommodation and benefits from a shared indoor swimming pool at the side of the property. The accommodation has a good sized lawned area for communal use and BBQ with plenty of garden furniture to sit out and enjoy the views of the rolling countryside.

I booked Shallcross Hall with a group of friends. personally stayed in Blackbrook but we had every unit between our party, so I'm in a good position to review. It was rare find, ideal for us - all had our own space whilst being together. Before I go further I want to say I am not complaining about anything we loved our stay and would be very happy to come again, but for the sake of managing expectations I think there are a few things worth knowing in advance. Firstly, it was much nicer in reality than the photos show, I expected it to be tiny and it wasn't at all we had loads of space and held a game night for 15 of us most evenings- it was great. The garden has been recently repaved by the looks of things and was lovely, we had unusually warm weather for March, so were able to enjoy a BBQ one evening. The pool- goes without saying- was a hit with the kids. parking is ample. Blackbrook is downstairs RHS, Combs downstairs LHS, Toddbrook upstairs RHS, what is not clear on the description is that Goyt is round the back using its own front door so if you book as a group you may want to be aware they are not literally in the same building. It was not a problem to us, but was initially a surprise that the upstairs LHS apartment is occupied by a permanent tenant that acts as caretaker (not the owner) they were lovely and friendly and to be honest quite helpful on a couple of occasions, they very much kept out of the way and wanted you to feel it was your place and your holiday; and I have to say she did a spectacular job of the cleaning. Please don't be put off by their presence but I think it fair to know in advance that they live onsite so you don't have the place entirely to yourself. some of the furniture has seen better days but it was immaculately clean and the pots and pans good quality (I was envious of the Ninja frying pan!). All in all it was great value for money and a fab holiday

Fantastic value - the views are beautiful, the pool was very well received by our children, and we had a brilliant stay that represent really good value for money. Things to consider for improvement;- internet is very poor (I couldn’t run the fire stick to watch the football 🤣)- the TV has a blue hue so it’s on its last legs

This is a lovely location with stunning views and easy access to many countryside walks. This site itself is maintained to a high standard and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend.
