Studio on The Green offers a modern, cosy base in a picturesque village, ideal for exploring the Peak District. Guests appreciated the clean, warm atmosphere and comfortable bed, as well as the proximity to local amenities and walking routes. However, several reviews noted the compact size, limited kitchen facilities, and occasional maintenance issues. Some guests felt the studio could benefit from additional amenities and clearer descriptions. Overall, the property is well-suited for short stays in a charming location, with room for improvement in facilities and attention to detail.
Many guests found the studio clean and tidy on arrival, but several mentioned issues such as dusty appliances, cobwebs, and dishes needing to be washed before use. Concerns were also raised about the freshness of bedding and general upkeep.
The location was widely praised for its beautiful village setting, easy access to local shops, pubs, and restaurants, and suitability for exploring the Peak District. Guests enjoyed the friendly atmosphere and convenience.
The bed was frequently described as comfortable and the studio warm and cosy. However, the compact size, lack of seating, and limited privacy in the bathroom affected overall comfort for some guests, especially those travelling with pets.
Several guests noted a lack of basic kitchen amenities such as a toaster, bin, and table, as well as issues with the hob, TV, and shower. The studio was described as smaller than expected, with minimal utensils and occasional maintenance problems.
There were no mentions of welcome gifts or special touches in the reviews, so a score cannot be provided for this category.

Hob didn't work so wasted quite a lot of food I had brought along. A lot smaller than the pictures show. It's quite hard to maneuver with a border collie that's constantly on your heels. Very poorly cleaned also. Hob and coffee machine had a layer of dust on them, had to wash most of the pots myself. 'Well equipped kitchen'- 6 saucepans that dont work on the hob, a big sharp knife, a spatula, chopping board, mugs, glasses, plates, bowls, two sets of cutlery and 2 small sharp knives. Walls are extremely thin, sounded like the neighbours were throwing their pots around the kitchen and talking as loud as possible. If they use the water while you're in the shower you're in for a lovely surprise.

This is a lovely little studio, little being the operative word. It us clean and the bed comfortable. Small improvements could make it excellent, such as a doormat for muddy boots, a folding table and chairs to eat at, oh and a tin opener. The roller blind seemed to be broken.

Avoid at all costs. The studio on first look was clean , until we went to use the plates . We had to wash them before we could use them. There was only one knife and one fork. When you enter the studio you are straight into the bedroom. There was no doormat so the floor soon became dirty and there wasn’t a broom or dustpan to be able to clean it. No toaster but there was a coffee pod machine !!! Personally a toaster would have better. The shower gel bottles were empty and every time you use the shower prepare for a flood . Towels provided… well we had a bath towel each but that was all. No hand towels or tea towels. No bath mat or anywhere to drain washing up . Trying to get tv to work was a nightmare. No instructions left. No mattress or pillow protectors. The whole place was smaller than a Travelodge room. We had to eat with plates on our lap while sitting on the bed , no trays or table except those outside in the incredibly small patio . We had our dog with us, she’s not very big but we were all tripping over each other. No way would you fit a spaniel or bigger in there . The door in the kitchen , which had tissue shoved into the key hole, is the only division between the two studios so lots of noise if occupied. Luckily our dog isn’t a barker as often sounded like someone knocking on the door. Be warned you are on camera although no signs about cctv . Don’t believe the description of places to eat and 2 pubs . There’s only one pub, a chip shop ( not the best ) a restaurant. We were looking forward to this holiday but the accommodation definitely tarnished it .
