Squirrel Cottage has been renovated in 2023, to a tasteful and modern standard. As you arrive and step into the open plan living space, you will find a beautiful island (with built-in hob) in the centre of the room, which also provides dining space for up to four guests to sit comfortably. The kitchen has all the appliances you should need to cook up a storm if you wish to do so! The living area has comfortable seating with a large, wall-mounted, Smart TV and to finish the room off nicely; bi-fold doors lead out into the garden, which can be left open on days that allow.
Upstairs is the master bedroom with a kingsize bed, which has the addition of a galleried snug area with TV and bean bags to give you a little quiet corner to enjoy, and also an en-suite with freestanding bath (please be careful on the laddered steps to get to this area). The second bedroom is a king which can be split into two singles if required, and has wardrobe space. Outside is a great size garden, which has a lawned area to the right as well as a patio directly outside the bi-fold doors. You can sit on the garden furniture and watch the squirrels!
Squirrel Cottage is located in close proximity to the town centre of Glossop, just a short walk away from all it has to offer, including coffee shops, pubs and restaurants as well as supermarkets and shops. Manor park and gardens are also just around the corner. There is a variety of walks surrounding Glossop, such as, a car-free Longendale Trail which has beautiful scenery to take in while you enjoy your walk or cycle, plus you are only a 30-minute drive from Edale, Castleton or the spa town of Buxton, all offering further fantastic walking routes which are picturesque.

Everything was perfect for me, my family, and my 12-year-old son . The place itself is very spacious, and the hot tub was amazing. The only thing I would change is having a sofa in the living room instead of just chairs. As a family of three trying to sit together and watch TV, it felt a little awkward and not always the most comfortable. But overall, we made it work, and it wouldnt stop us from returning.

Squirrel Cottage is in a perfect central location in Glosop. It is clean, comfortable and beautifully quirky. A truly charming cottage. Host was friendly and responsive too. Kitchen was well equipped to 'home cook' if needed but Glosop also has an array of great pubs and restaurants. Very central for exploring the Peak District and 25 minute train journey to Manchester. Overall I would highly recommend this cottage.
