Had a lovely few days away at Curiosity. The cottage is lovely and in a fab location with lots of walks right from the door - we went up to the well and then up further to William Hill. We also visited the Riley graves. There was a dead end road that was a great doodle walk and run route that tested the quads! We caught the bus to Baslow and walked to Chatsworth House for a mooch about the Christmas Market. We also drove to Bakewell to look round the local shops and walk the Monsal Trail. Had a lovely take away from Curry Cottage which delivered and was very yummy and reasonably priced. We also had fish and chips from local chippy which were also lovely! The cottage itself was well equipped and cosy. We made use of the dishwasher and washing machine and also the tv and its apps. The bed was comfy and shower/bath great. Didn’t make use of the courtyard and cold and wet but would be a nice spot for a sun-downer in the summer. Cottage was dog friendly and so was courtyard. No specific parking but we managed to get a space outside each day - not sure this would be the case in summer? The cottage is right on the street and opposite a shop and I guess the village would be busier so could be a bit noisy? The front window had blinds which could be a problem with some dogs if reactive. We made use of the EV charger too which meant parking on the pavement but there was plenty of space for people to pass. All in all a great stay and would highly recommend
