Guests generally appreciate the Rock Mill Apartment for its prime location in the Peak District, offering easy access to local attractions and walks. The apartment is praised for its modern amenities and cleanliness, though some guests noted minor maintenance issues. The complex's friendly staff and additional facilities like a restaurant add to the positive experience.
The apartment is consistently described as clean, with one review specifically noting its spotlessness. However, there were comments about crockery needing a deep clean, which slightly affects the score.
The location is highly praised for its proximity to local attractions, walks, and a superb pub. The scenic and quiet setting away from road noise is also appreciated.
Comfort receives mixed reviews. While the bed and shower are commended, some guests found the sofa and dining arrangements less comfortable due to the apartment's size.
Facilities are generally good, with a well-equipped kitchen and modern amenities. However, there are mentions of missing items like a firepit, towel rail, and coasters, and some maintenance issues like a broken blind and insufficient glassware.
While some guests missed a welcome pack and suggested the addition of coasters to protect furniture, there is no consistent mention of gifts or special thoughtful touches provided by the host, so a score cannot be given.

We love the location of the apartment, there is so much to do within an easy distance with nice walks directly from the property. In addition to The Cupola serving evening meals on Fridays and Saturdays, they are now open every evening cooking pizzas to either eat in, or take away â we can highly recommend! Our only slight criticism since our previous stay is the number of breakages that have taken place â the apartment is down to one wine glass (disaster!) We understand that breakages happen, but the owner really needs to make some replacements. On arrival, we spent time washing all the crockery as the mugs were stained and plates had been put away unwashed. All crockery could do with being taken away for a deep clean. The lounge blind has come down and is being stored in the cupboard in the bedroom. Sitting on the settee in the evenings, directly under a window, was quite chilly. The owner just needs to address these few issues, and the apartment will be back to a 5 Star + rating in our eyes!

A lovely apartment ideally situated for our needs, great position for surrounding areas, just a few niggling points, Lounge blind still not refitted, still stored in bedroom cupboard as previously mentioned, suprised there was no small welcome pack( tea, coffee, milk) also could do with bread/ chopping board and again needs coasters for hot drinks to prevent damage to wooden tables as again previously mentioned in past reviews, great friendly staff ,hopefully we will return next year
Eric
Very modern apartment with great facilities and well situated to enjoy the Peak District. Our only small observations to help guests would be installing towel rail and toilet roll holder in the bathroom.
