As the industry changed, the demand for the mill ceased and a local farmer then used the building for sheep dipping. In more recent years the mill has been transformed into stylish holiday accommodation and still showcasing many original character features. The handsome farmhouse, that originally owned the mill, still sits opposite the property and the water that worked the mill borders the grounds.

Went for 3 days with children and grandchildren (6 adults and 5 kids). Quiet location and lots of area for play. Well equipped but perhaps an airfrier would help as we had a aga malfunction but the owners tried to resolve and even cooked some food for us. Owners kept in contact to help wherever they could. Good area plenty to do around oswestry. Overall a good break

The house and location were great, very spacious and quiet. The kitchen was nice except that we couldn’t get the aga stove to work, we did get it to start at one point but it started leaving black smoke so we turned it off!I text the landlord twice but they did not respond which was disappointing! We had to cook on a two burner camper stove in the utility, which was very difficult and impractical. We had planned on baking food in the oven but that went to waste as we didn’t have an oven to use!It had plenty of room , it just needs a good clean as there was dust and spiders and cobwebs everywhere, the children were frightened of them.

We really liked the Mill, it was rustic but cosy. The surrounding countryside was stunning and great for walking with dogs. The kitchen table was great for everyone to sit for breakfast and dinner. Upstairs was big enough for everyone to sit and play games or just watch TV. The only thing that spoiled it for us was that we ordered in a load of groceries but the fridge wasnt working properly and we had to throw away approximately a third of the food we bought which was such a waste. Get a new fridge and yes i would highly recommend
