Guests say

Orchard Cottage receives high praise for its warm welcome, stunning countryside views, and wildlife. Guests appreciate the cosy atmosphere, ample amenities, and the thoughtful touches like homemade marmalades and a welcome pack. The conservatory is a highlight for many, offering a peaceful space for meals and birdwatching. While most feedback is positive, a few guests mention that bathroom facilities could be updated and the lack of Wi-Fi.

Reviews consistently mention the cleanliness of the cottage, with guests noting it as spotless and well-maintained. One review specifically commends the attention to detail in this regard.

The location is frequently described as peaceful, with beautiful views and proximity to local attractions. Guests enjoy the wildlife and the convenience for visiting places like Oxford and National Trust properties.

The cottage is often referred to as cosy and comfortable, with a warm Aga and comfortable beds. However, one review mentions an issue with a toilet seat and bidet, slightly affecting the comfort score.

Facilities are generally well-received, with mentions of a good shower, cooking appliances, and a real fire. However, some guests suggest improvements such as updating the bathrooms and adding a dishwasher.

Guests appreciate the thoughtful touches like a welcome pack and homemade marmalades. While these gifts are warmly received, it is noted that such personal touches, though delightful, are not guaranteed for every stay.

It was our 3rd stay and we have already booked again. The cottage is lovely, very clean, roomy with everything you need. You could enjoy the views on the country and the birds, squirrels,... all day long. The owners make you feel very welcomed. This year we visited Windsor Castle and Christ Church College in Oxford but there is plenty of others place worth visiting too.
