Home from home, a very comfortable stay. Really liked the rural location - nice walks on the doorstep but also not too far from Brighton or Lewes. Enjoyed a very good meal at The Five Bells, Chailey. Grateful for the welcome pack which had just what we needed for a good breakfast. Would definitely return.

The accommodation is in a lovely quiet location on the owner's land. There's a well-equipped, modern kitchen and we appreciated the eggs, bread, milk etc. left for us. Several French windows open out to give a light, airy feel throughout.A significant issue is noise from the upstairs flat. Floorboards creak to the extent that you feel the people are in the same room. There was no outside seating when we arrived but this was remedied when we finally got through to the agent. TV losing signal throughout the 2 days despite Owners attempt to remedy the problem.Information about any local shops, restaurants etc. would have been helpful.A lamp or 2 in the lounge area would help with reading in the evenings.

Lovely place, plenty of hot water and everything you need. Nice welcoming touches of eggs, milk etc. Made a perfect base for walking the 2nd half of the South Downs Way
