We absolutely adored this place and cannot praise it highly enough. It was perfect for what we wanted. Comfortable, secluded, quiet, calm and Emma has thought of everything both humans and dogs could possibly need and if there was anything else we just had to ask. The farm itself is idyllic and such great walks on the doorstep. Locally there is so much history to explore and the pubs nearby did great food. We can recommend The Bulls Head at Boreham Street for breakfast and dinner. Nearby is Battle and a host of both National Trust and English Heritage to choose from in the area. (We did Batemans, Battle Abbey and Standen House.) Luckily the weather was fine so we sat outside in our private seating area and soaked up the nature. We saw newborn lambs and heard owls etc at night. There is a TV but seriously, why would you?As the description says, the drive is not suitable for low profile vehicles so please don’t ignore this and the trick is to just go slow.

Absolutely great. Emma and Ian are great hosts that can't do enough for you. It very peaceful and quiet and unbelievably they supply you with everything you need. Apart from a nice rump steak. But ya can't have everything lol. Highly recommend. Happy to return

This cosy cottage provided the perfect setting for the self guided meditation retreat I had planned. Comfort & privacy with an outside space for warmer weather and lots of places around to walk and explore. My dog loved the hot shower outside for muddy paws and boots. I felt very relaxed after my stay. Thank you. .
