Cheers! The bar area of this elegant historic property welcomes you the moment you arrive for your special getaway with friends or family. A five-star combination of period features and luxurious modern amenities, the house sleeps ten people in five bedrooms and is perfectly suited for large groups, offering a choice of spaces, both inside and out, in which to socialise or find a quiet spot alone. With a hot tub and facilities for al fresco dining, too, this really is a fabulous choice. The local area offers wonderful walks and pretty villages, vineyards, historic houses and gardens, and easy access to both Tunbridge Wells and the south coast.
The first thing to greet you when you walk through the door of this superb accommodation is the bar from the former coaching inn, a unique place in which to gather for a celebratory tipple. Warmed by the open fire, you can regale your loved ones with jokes and stories - the night is yours. Alternatively, settle down in the handsome lounge and light the wood burner or, in summer, throw open the French doors to the garden and enjoy the fresh air. The kitchen, more modern in style, is fresh and bright, fitted with quality appliances - including a range cooker to make it easier to cater for larger numbers. There’s a breakfast table in here but, for a more formal eating experience, the opulent dining room boasts a fireplace, oil paintings and Georgian panelling for that feeling of grandeur. Completing the ground floor are a utility room with laundry facilities and a downstairs shower room. Upstairs, an appealing mix of antiques, vintage and contemporary furniture decorates the five comfortable bedrooms, which share a shower room and a bathroom. Head outside and you’re spoilt for choice when it comes to relaxing in the sunshine or under the twinkling stars: soak in the hot tub, sip a coffee on the patio, lounge in the rattan seating or sit under the elevated pergola and just breathe while admiring the stunning countryside views.
Please note that there is an additional charge of £100 for the use of the hot tub which can be paid directly to the house manager on arrival
