About this property

Idyllically positioned within Ashdown Forest, a High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty rests the impressive six-bedroom, Home Farm House. It is enveloped in scenic countryside on the outskirts of the market town of Crowborough. Home Farm House boasts a homely interior full of character and makes for a perfect base for a trip to Sussex, either for a holiday, short break or special occasion with family & friends. A spacious driveway greets you upon arrival, offering ample parking spaces for your guests and making loading and unloading an easy task. Kicking off your shoes, step over the threshold and make your way inside this lovely home-from-home for the duration of your stay, making use of the handy storage space provided in the entrance hall to store your belongings away from the main living areas. Follow the hallway through to the cosy sitting room, home to a handful of sofas gathered around a traditional inglenook fireplace, enticing you to put your feet up and unwind with a moment of peace in front of the television. When stomachs start to rumble, make your way through to the fully equipped kitchen, where you'll find a range of appliances to assist with your catering needs, including an electric oven and hob as well as a rustic kitchen island, ideal for sharing a bottle of wine as the designated chef cooks up a culinary delight. Set the table in the nearby dining room and gather together with your loved ones to indulge as you recount the day's adventures or escape the excitement and head through to the living/dining area, stoke up the wood burner to enjoy an intimate meal for two before snuggling up on the sofa in the snug for a movie marathon. Completing the ground floor is the first of six bedrooms, a sumptuous double, along with a handy cloakroom, both ideal for guests with limited mobility. Heading upstairs you'll find four additional double rooms all with built in wardrobes, with the master bedroom benefiting from access to its own en-suite bathroom, alongside a bunk room, perfect for sleepovers for the little ones, and a contemporary family bathroom. Head outdoors and make a splash with a dip in the heated swimming pool or end the day in style with an indulgent soak amongst the bubbles in the hot tub as your furry friends stretch their legs on the large lawn. Get better acquainted with your surroundings and take a scenic stroll through woodlands or a walk on Ashdown Forest. Alternatively, you could visit the heart of Crowborough, once home to famed author, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle who penned Sherlock Holmes, where you will find a host of essential amenities, including a fantastic selection of pubs, restaurants, high-street and independent shops. After stopping off for a bite to eat, get your steps in with a scenic stroll through the woodland at Crowborough Country Park, hike to the summit of Bunkers Hill, making sure to keep your eyes peeled for the delightful deer en-route, or test your swing with a round at the well known Crowborough Beacon Golf Club. Within easy reach is the charming town of Royal Tunbridge Wells, where you can immerse yourself in the fascinating local history with a visit to the Pantiles or for the children a steam train ride to High Rocks. Maybe treat yourself to a spot of retail therapy at the Royal Victoria Place, or catch the train and journey to the nearby towns and villages to explore more of the delights of Sussex and Kent. Whilst you're in the area, be sure to embark on an adventure throughout the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, famed as one of England's finest landscapes, stretching over 1461 square km of wooded hills, open farmland and medieval manors. Choose Home Farm House as the base for your next group celebration.

Our six year old learnt to swim in the very warm pool ( in October!) and our 86 year old stayed up late playing games with the 'youngers' long after I had gone to bed! There is everything at Home Farm that you need for a special memorable time spent with people you love. Details are taken care of - great kitchen with everything you need, every board game you can think of, plenty of wood. Not to mention the heated swimming pool, the hot tub and the gym! And the surrounding woodland is beautiful. Host communication was great. Thankyou for this weekend!

The property itself is wonderful- ideal for a large group with children and dogs. Everyone had a great time in the spacious house, garden, swimming pool and hot tub and we had everything we could have wanted. There are lovely walks in the surrounding countryside. The Blue Anchor nearby is a friendly pub with excellent food and a bank of fast EV chargers. Thank you for making our stay so memorable. If we can we will return.

Sophie was lovely and welcoming, and the house had everything we needed. Our group loved using the pool and hot tub, the beds were all comfy and the kitchen was well equipped and pleasant to cook in. We will definitely look at coming back again.
