The Cosy Cowshed is wonderfully situated in rural East Sussex on the grounds of a charming Oast house. Boreham Street is a very friendly village with a popular local pub. The property is only a 10-minute drive from Hailsham town which has a variety of supermarkets in addition to other shops and amenities. Battle is also 10 minutes away in the other direction with its range of cafes, restaurants, and shops. The stylish lounge enjoys a wood burner and a Smart TV, with views of the English Channel around 4 miles distant. The bedroom boasts an oak-framed bed with bedside tables and a wardrobe to match. The deep mattress can be turned to provide a warm or a cool night’s sleep. In the spacious kitchen and dining area, guests will find all the appliances they need for the designated chef to rustle up some good food! Your private patio can be found adjacent to the Cowshed, just come out of the external sitting room door and the gate is on your left.The owners are easy to reach, friendly, and approachable nearby if you need any help or advice.
Situated in the Weald with easy access to Herstmonceux, Battle, Pevensey, Eastbourne, and Hastings. A short drive to the seaside and many castles to visit. Herstmonceux Castle is just a walk away. The excellent local pub is a few yards away and serves food daily. It is popular due to its award-winning nature, so it is recommended to book in advance. A local coffee shop in Herstmonceux is a firm favourite with visitors and locals alike. Lovely countryside walks including the South Downs National Park and the 1066 Country Walk (which passes right by the property). Walkers are wonderfully well catered for, with the property situated on the 1066 Country Walk. Pevensey Castle is a good morning’s walk away, across Pevensey Marshes, while towards the North East, The Ash - a highly recommended pub for great food is under a 2-hour walk, through peaceful, rolling Sussex countryside. The Cowshed is situated adjacent to bus stops for service, generally running hourly through the day (Monday to Saturday) between Hastings and Eastbourne.

Great place for a holiday everything you need in the accommodation. Plenty of hot water, warm and comfortable. Very tasty meals at The Bull within easy walking distance.We did lots of walking including walking to the sea and back and visited two national trust properties.Would recommend The Cosy Cowshed

Mooi , comfortabel, ruim cottage !De materialen waren van een mooie kwaliteit ! zelfs de haardroger was perfect . Ik had mijn haardroger vergeten , dus moest ik de haardroger gebruiken v de cottage . Voor ons was het enige minpuntje : het bed was vrij smal ( 1,37 m ) maar dat wisten we op voorhand . ( wij slapen thuis in een 2 m bed :-) wij komen zeker terug !!!

A lovely stay in the cosy cow shed. Warm, comfortable and cosy. Some road noise which didn’t really affect us however in the summer using the little garden it might have bothered us. So much to do in the area with lots of dog friendly National Trust properties. Definitely will return.
