Guests say

The Cowstall is a charming and peaceful cottage, ideal for those seeking tranquility and countryside views. Guests appreciate its privacy, well-equipped kitchen, and dog-friendly amenities. The property's location offers easy access to local walks and places of interest, with some guests highlighting the need for a car to reach shops. The cottage's unique mezzanine sleeping area and low beams add character, though may not suit everyone.

The property generally maintains good cleanliness, with some guests finding it very clean. However, there are mentions of cobwebs, spiders, and a greasy kitchen extractor fan, suggesting room for improvement in deep cleaning.

The location is highly praised for its peacefulness, stunning views, and proximity to walking areas and places of interest. The need for a car to access shops is noted, but does not detract significantly from the overall appeal.

The cottage is described as cozy and comfortable, particularly the bed and outside loungers. However, the mezzanine's low ceiling and steep stairs, along with some uncomfortable furniture, affect the comfort level for some guests.

Facilities are generally well-received, with a well-equipped kitchen and good shower. However, there are several mentions of minor annoyances such as a floppy shower head, limited clothes storage, and a preference for an oven over a dishwasher. The lack of clear refuse/recycling instructions is also noted.

There is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the hosts. Therefore, it is not possible to provide a score in this category.

A very nice converted barn in a very quiet peaceful stunning location. The property was very private, it was very clean and everything was thought of and provided. Mr Riley, the owner was pleasant and helpful when arranging key collection.I shall definitely be returning.
