Set within a private country estate with miles of bridleways, footpaths and cycling lanes on your doorstep, sits this lovely three-bedroom holiday cottage. A country getaway but within easy reach of all the amenities you could need in the nearby town of Basingstoke. This lovely cottage has been fully decorated using high quality paints and fabrics, giving guests a truly wonderful experience and comfortable accommodation.
On the ground floor is the cosy living room with an open fire and open plan kitchen/dining area, with everything you will need to prepare a snack or a hearty three course meal. The property accommodates up to six guests in the three first floor bedrooms. There is a bathroom upstairs with electric shower over bath and also a downstairs WC. Club cottage is next to the Estate Club which is open on an ad hoc basis over the weekends and will serve you a very reasonably priced beverage, or a 1.5 mile walk across footpaths takes you to the nearest pub.

The cathedral and medieval city of Winchester (18 miles), Windsor Castle (36 miles), Highclere Castle, home to the filming location for Downton Abbey (26 miles), Jane Austen’s House Museum (10 miles), New Forest National Park (30 miles). Legoland (32 miles) Marwell Zoo (23 miles), Chessington World of Adventures (37 miles), Birdworld (17 miles), Peppa Pig World (33 miles). Locally you will find cinema, bowling, ice skating and indoor sky diving. On the coast lie the cities of Portsmouth and Southampton both within an hour’s drive with all their attractions, shopping and cruise terminal. There are also plenty of local festivals to attend to incklude Farnborough Air show (20 miles), Ascot Racecourse with its Royal Ascot meeting takes place in June (30 miles), Henley on Thames with its Royal Regatta is also in June (38 miles), Goodwood, home to the Goodwood Revival, Festival of Speed and horse racing (38 miles), Boomtown Festival in August (10 miles) and Newbury Show (24 miles). What a gorgeous cosy & warm cottage, If you want peace and quiet this is a must. Only stayed for a weekend but next time (oh yes we will be back!) definitely longer and we may actually venture out to visit a few places! We were a group of 4 who just wanted a get away together and chill out, which we certainly did. It is a very spacious cottage with everything you need. Very comfortable beds & bedding. There is a Lidl & Sainsbury’s a short drive away so no local shop to walk to, but we were aware of this & took enough supplies so we could just lock the door and light the fire. Perfect. Only 1 small thing…it would be lovely if there were 2 sofas in the lounge. But perfect
