Guests say

Stable Cottage is a beautifully clean and comfortable retreat set in tranquil countryside, ideal for a peaceful getaway. Guests consistently praise its well-equipped interior, homely atmosphere, and relaxing garden. The location offers easy access to scenic walks and charming villages, though amenities are a short drive away and the rural roads can be narrow. While most found the cottage spotless and inviting, a few noted minor issues such as patchy internet and a boiler smell. Overall, it is highly recommended for those seeking a restful stay in a picturesque setting.

Multiple reviews highlight the cottage's exceptional cleanliness, describing it as spotless, beautifully clean, and tidy. Only one review mentions a boiler smell, but this does not appear to affect the overall high standard of cleanliness.

The peaceful rural setting is widely appreciated, with guests enjoying the tranquillity and countryside views. The only drawbacks mentioned are the narrow roads and the need to drive to local amenities, but these are typical of a countryside location.

Guests frequently describe the cottage as comfortable, cosy, and homely, with particular praise for the bedding and overall atmosphere. The tranquil environment adds to the sense of relaxation.

The cottage is described as well-equipped and well-appointed, with everything needed for a pleasant stay. Some minor issues were noted, such as slow or intermittent internet and a boiler smell, but these did not significantly detract from the overall experience.

Several guests mention thoughtful touches such as a warm welcome and the provision of tea, coffee, milk, and biscuits on arrival. Please note that such gifts are not guaranteed for every stay.

Stable Cottage was a wonderful place to stay. We were welcomed soon after arriving, having been given clear instructions of location prior to our arrival. There was tea, coffee, milk & biscuits, which was very welcome after the drive. It was in a lovely setting. There was not much in the way of "local" amenities, which didn't bother us but some people may want to have bigger shops nearer. The 2 close by villages each had a village store, larger stores were a few miles away but you should expect it in the countryside. The cottage was clean, comfortable with everything we needed. Everything we wanted to visit was less an half an hour drive. It was idyllic & peaceful, very different to our noisy home area.
