Wheatlands is generally praised for its spaciousness, comfortable beds, and great location near the beach. The garden is appreciated, especially by those with children or pets. Some guests highlighted minor maintenance issues and cleanliness concerns, but these do not overshadow the overall positive experience. The property is well-equipped and thoughtful touches were noted by several guests.
Reviews on cleanliness are mixed, with several guests reporting the property as immaculate, while others experienced issues with cleanliness upon arrival. The presence of both positive and negative feedback suggests that cleanliness standards may vary, but the property has the potential to be well-maintained.
The location is highly praised for its proximity to the seafront and the quiet, peaceful surroundings. Guests appreciate the short walks to the beach and the convenience of local amenities, making it an ideal spot for a relaxing holiday.
Guests consistently mention the comfortable beds and pillows, spaciousness, and the light and airy feel of the property. The separate cabin is also appreciated for additional privacy. However, some guests noted issues with seating in the lounge and bathroom facilities, slightly impacting the overall comfort score.
The property is well-equipped with kitchen essentials and offers a safe garden space. However, guests have reported various maintenance issues such as problems with showers, toilets, and appliances. These issues suggest room for improvement in ensuring all facilities are in good working order.
Several guests have expressed gratitude for the thoughtful touches, such as the provision of basic kitchen supplies and festive decorations during holiday stays. While these gestures are appreciated, it is important to note that such personal touches may not be guaranteed for every stay.

Our dog loved it in the garden as it is nice and secure so no chance of him escaping. The house is so close to the sea and we were blessed with nice weather and the most amazing sunsets from the beach. We normally stay in rural cottages but this has changed our minds as there is so much to do and lots of local shops and places to have a cheeky drink. Would highly recommend Wheatlands. Worth noting that on arrival we had a couple of minor hiccups but these were dealt with promptly by the owner which was amazing.

Great layout and loved the tiled flooring, rather than carpet; especially handy coming in with our pet. Daughter fell in love with the cabin and made it her home for the week. Beautiful garden and loved the sound of the pond. Downside: upon arrival it was apparent the property hadn't been thoroughly cleaned; previous occupiers must have had a black dog as the house was covered in thick, black dog hair. The bathrooms were pretty grim; thick dust behind toilet seat, on mirrors and generally everywhere. Pull out cupboard in kitchen had old food in it and covered in crumbs. Two of the toilets actually had poo steaks as well!! Maintenance issues: hand held shower wasn't working. Scalding water in bath and struggled to turn temperature down. Internet connection hit/miss. However, if these issues were sorted out/resolved, which is just about more attention to detail, we would recommend.

Beautiful patio and pond. Itâs a short walk to the beach and local shop. Wheatlands is located in a lovely quite road. My family I had a perfect 7 night stay with our dog and could not ask for anything more. Owner on hand just a text conversation away, I would give 10/10.
