A charming and spacious large holiday cottage in the pretty hamlet of Godshill, with New Forest ponies found at the garden gate. There are fabulous cycling and walking routes straight from the doorstep with routes for all abilities available from gentle strolls to more serious rambles. The riverside town of Fordingbridge is about two miles from the cottage and offers a supermarket for picking up essentials and a selection of independent shops. Further afield are the larger towns of Ringwood and Salisbury. On evenings you would prefer not to cook, the traditional village pub is a two minute walk from the property, where the New forest ponies and donkeys love to meet daily. There are an array of outdoor pursuits available across the New Forest for the whole family to enjoy. Or choose to branch out further and explore the Jurassic Coast.
The open plan kitchen and dining room is large enough to accommodate the whole family and oozes country style with an electric range cooker and refectory style table with enough seating for ten to gather around and enjoy a home cooked feast. There are doors leading out to the bright conservatory and a handy ground floor WC and utility room equipped with essential facilities also. The wood burner in the sitting room is a cosy feature for relaxing in front of, and the 40” flat screen TV is great for a family movie night. The accommodation offers five bedrooms. On the first floor you will find one master bedroom with a double bed, one master bedroom with a double bed and en-suite shower room, one twin bedroom and a further bedroom with one single bed. One twin bedroom on the ground floor. The family bathroom upstairs benefits from a bath, WC and a separate shower cubicle. There is also an additional separate WC upstairs.
With a conservatory, making it a perfect spot to chill with a book or something refreshing. Outside the enclosed garden with lawn and patio, wraps around the cottage, there are plenty of spots for relaxing and unwinding with pretty garden views, with outside seating and a charcoal BBQ. There is parking for 4 cars available.
