Guests say

Homewood is a spacious and well-equipped cottage, ideal for families and groups seeking a peaceful rural retreat near the New Forest. Guests consistently praise the large communal areas, comfortable double beds, and responsive hosts. The property offers excellent amenities, including a pool table and ample parking, and is well located for walks and local attractions. While some mention minor issues with cleanliness, single beds, and outdoor maintenance, the overall experience is highly positive, with many guests keen to return.

Most guests found the property clean and tidy, with several describing it as spotless. However, a few reviews noted areas needing a deeper clean, such as floors, cobwebs, and some kitchenware. These comments slightly lower the score but do not detract from the overall positive impression.

The cottage is praised for its peaceful, rural setting and proximity to the New Forest and local attractions. Some guests found it a little tricky to locate and mentioned the farm surroundings, but overall, the location is considered a strong asset.

Guests highlight the spaciousness and comfort of the communal areas and double beds. However, several reviews mention that the single beds could be improved for adult guests, and a few found the property warm at times. Overall, comfort is rated highly.

The property is very well equipped, with a large kitchen, multiple bathrooms, games, and a pool table (though some equipment could be updated). Outdoor areas could benefit from more maintenance, but the overall range and quality of facilities are excellent.

Guests appreciated thoughtful touches such as milk and shortbread on arrival, as well as responsive and helpful hosts. Please note that such gifts are not guaranteed for every stay. Some guests suggested the addition of more useful extras, like kitchen supplies and updated information.
