The Island is bursting at the seams with a variety of attractions, head to east Cowes to tour Osborne, an Italian-inspired mansion filled with relics pertaining to Queen Victoria and expansive gardens that you can explore. Or travel inland to find Carisbrooke Castle, a medieval castle that hosts a myriad of events, Butterfly World and Robin Hill, a nature park filled with family rides, play areas and nature trails. Choose 41 Woodvale Road as your base for exploring all the Isle of Wight has to offer.

Cowes, located at the mouth of the Medina River, is a bustling port with two distinct towns connected by a floating bridge chain ferry. Both communities have a lot to offer visitors, with West Cowes known as a world-renowned yachting centre, with excellent facilities for all kinds of watersports, as well as being considered the cycling gateway to the island with the National Cycle Route 23 running through it. With a beach, a wide variety of excellent restaurants, and a wide variety of interesting niche shops, there is something for everyone with an incredible vibe in this area. A visit to Osborne House, Queen Victoria's Italian-style country retreat, is a must in East Cowes if you're in the area. Cowes is a great starting point for exploring the rest of the island, including sandy beaches, beautiful walking country, picturesque chines, and numerous family attractions like the Isle of Wight music festival.

Warm, comfortable and a lovely place to stay. We struggled with locating the kettle(!) but a quick phone call to the owners and it was sorted. Unfortunately the hot tub took 2 days to reach 35 degrees and as we were only staying for 3 days we didn't get the full benefit from having one. We really enjoyed exploring the IOW particularly Osborne House, Carisbrooke Castle, The Needles and St Catherines Point.

The house was perfect for our family of 10 and we enjoyed the abundance of space, quality of the rooms and the location. We will definitely consider returning. Thank you.
