No smoking.. Shannon offers an open plan living space on the ground floor, finished to an excellent standard. Built in 2024, this property features LED mood lighting. The living area has large bi-fold doors opening directly onto the garden, where you can enjoy glorious sunrises and sunsets and beautiful countryside views. The dining area has seating for ten people, whilst the kitchen has atmospheric lighting including an island and breakfast bar. The master bedroom has an en-suite shower room, and the other three bedrooms have access to the bathroom and shower room. All shower rooms have walk-in rain showers.
The property is conveniently located and central to attractions, set back from the road leading to Newport and the village of Arreton, and the seaside resort of Ryde is about a 10-minute drive. Enjoy scenic walks locally, and other outdoor pursuits include birdwatching, cycling, horse riding, golf, and water sports. The property has direct access onto the lane at the bottom of the site, so you can walk with your family and your dog or cycle to Newport and the rest of the Isle of Wight via footpaths. Buses into Newport and Ryde are about 5 minutes away, to take you anywhere you want to go on the Island. Discover many attractions nearby including Arreton Barns, The Garlic Farm and Robin Hill Adventure Park. Also within easy driving distance is Osborne House, Carisbrooke Castle, Ventnor Botanical Gardens, Blackgang Chine theme park, museums, vineyards, and wildlife centres. Pub within a mile.

We had a wonderful stay at Fair Isle Holiday Cottage – Shannon. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at home. The cottage is beautifully presented, clean, and very well equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing break.The location is fantastic, offering peace and quiet while still being close to lovely walks and local attractions. It was the perfect place to unwind and enjoy some quality time away from the busy routine.The attention to detail really stood out, from the cosy interior to the thoughtful touches that made our stay extra special. Communication was also smooth and helpful throughout.Overall, we had a truly enjoyable experience and would highly recommend Fair Isle Holiday Cottage – Shannon to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway. We would definitely love to return in the future!

Upon arrival the house was spotlessly clean throughout, and a welcome pack of biscuits, wine and milk was left which we appreciated. The house is stunning, very modern, plenty of space and decorated nicely. The view from the windows is breath-taking. We could not fault anything about the accommodation. Accessibility wise there is a ramp available for wheelchair users, or for pushchairs at the front of the property. There are two rooms downstairs and two rooms upstairs, 3 bathrooms altogether. We are planning to book again for next year, for the size and luxury of the property it was very reasonably priced for families.

This property is in easy reach to Newport and great for visiting the island because it’s fairly central.The owners are lovely and accommodating. It is a great property for all ages and disabilities as there is a ramp to the front door and downstairs bedrooms and bathroom. Our visiting dog loved the outside area which is secure and ample for a good run-around.I would recommend this accommodation for families and as a great getaway.
