I recommend this lovely extended cottage as a base to explore the island. The whole island is within 40 minutes drive. The owners live next door and are only to happy to give help and advice if required. The cottage has a lovely and sunny rear garden with a perfect view of Carisbrooke Castle.Comfortable beds, good shower and bath. Would book again.

We have just enjoyed our second visit to the Apricot Tree and it still remains one of our favourite cottages we have had the pleasure to stay in.The views towards Carrisbroke Castle are stunning what ever time of day it is.The cottage itself has all the amenities you could want and is tastefully decorated keeping the charm of the cottage as well as a spacious decking area to sit and enjoy a coffee whilst listening to the birds singing.It was also spotlessly clean on arrival and our hosts Mick and Dianne are really helpful and friendly and remembered us from our previous stay which definitely adds a personal touch.They also left us a bottle of milk in the Friday, tea coffee suger and a lovely bottle of wine so a massive thank you to them for making us welcome.In regards to location, Apricot Cottage, being in the center of the Isle of Wight was a perfect base for exploring but more importantly it was a perfect holiday home to come back to after a day out.I would highly recommend this cottage not only for its interior quality and charm but also for the location
