Guests say

Swallow Cottage is generally praised for its cleanliness, spaciousness, and pet-friendly secure garden. Its proximity to Shanklin beach and amenities is appreciated, as well as the peaceful rural setting. Some minor maintenance issues were noted, but overall, guests enjoyed their stay and would recommend the property.

Most guests found the cottage to be very clean and well-maintained, though there were isolated complaints about a mouldy shower head and dirty baking trays. The majority of feedback, however, reflects a high standard of cleanliness.

The location is highly regarded for its quiet setting, proximity to the beach, and convenience for exploring the Isle of Wight. The rural charm and easy access to Shanklin make it an ideal base for holidaymakers.

Guests have found the cottage to be spacious, with new carpets and bedding, and a comfortable setting overall. The presence of a secure garden and the suitability for dogs add to the comfort of the stay.

The cottage is well-equipped, but several reviews mention issues with maintenance such as a broken TV, a BBQ stand collapsing, and a shower head needing attention. These incidents suggest room for improvement in facilities and maintenance.

There is no mention of gifts or extra thoughtful touches provided by the owners in the reviews, so it is not possible to assess this category. Therefore, the score is set to null.

Really nice cottage in a great location for exploring the Isle of Wight. The cottage is very spacious and well equipped with lots of parking.Oven could do with a bit of a clean but everything else was very clean and tidy.

Great cottage. Everything we could’ve wanted. Bath towels supplied but no hand towels would be our only complaint.Proximity to Shanklin beach and amenities was brilliant literally 10mins in car.
