We stayed for 4 nights and would definitely stay at WV again. The house was as advertised. The immediate surroundings were quiet with a scenic view out the front (very pleasant to watch the sun go down) & an enclosed small garden in the rear, but lovely communal gardens around the back too. It was a 15 minutes stroll down to Shanklin Chine & the esplanade, although it’s too steep for anyone with walking difficulties. I did the walk every morning before breakfast as the sun rose up from the sea. The property itself was clean (with the exception of the garden furniture which had cobwebs on the chairs). The bedding was clean with good quality towels provided in each bedroom but no individual hand towels. A few improvements I’d suggest would be soap in the bathrooms, a few tea bags in the kitchen, a small nest of tables for the lounge & a new ordered ringbinder for the ‘Home Folder’ which was a jumble of loose papers but had most of the information required. These small issues did not impact our enjoyment and are just suggestions to further improve this lovely house. We were given a cleaner’s contact number before arriving and we used WhatsApp to ask a couple of questions which were answered helpfully & promptly. Overall a pleasant & enjoyable stay! 🙂

Lovely location and a well appointed house with good size bedrooms, good levels of comfort. Deducted one star as the central heating was not working when we arrived and the house was very cold. Spent a couple of hours trying to get the pressure up on the boiler using You Tube videos . Not the best start to our stay. However, contacted the owner who responded promptly and got someone out to fix it the next day and didn’t have any further problems with heating or water. Didn’t use the small back garden, which needs some TLC ready for the summer if you want to dine outside. Currently not very inviting but can easily be sorted out .View from the front is stunning and would be a good location if you have a dog wonderful location for this as there are nice woodlands nearby. One night was very windy and revealed the window in the top level is quite draughty and lets in a lot of ladybugs 🐞. Overall a lovely property however , would stay again as familiar with the quirks now.
