Guests say

Baytree Cottage is a well-loved holiday rental praised for its spaciousness, well-equipped nature, and ideal location close to Totland Bay. Guests have enjoyed the ample communal space, garden, and the provision of toys and games for children. The property's charm and the thoughtful touches by the owners have contributed to memorable stays, despite some feedback on maintenance and cleaning.

Reviews indicate a mix of experiences regarding cleanliness. Some guests found the property very clean, especially considering it is pet-friendly, while others noted areas that could benefit from deeper cleaning or better maintenance. The presence of dust, cobwebs, and some unclean areas led to a slightly above-average score.

The location of Baytree Cottage is highly praised, with its proximity to the beach and local amenities. Guests appreciated the easy access to coastal walks and the quiet, convenient setting, which significantly enhanced their holiday experience.

Comfort levels are generally high, with guests finding the property spacious and well-suited for families. Some guests mentioned comfortable beds and a homely feel, although there were comments about certain furniture and mattresses being due for an update, which slightly lowers the score.

Facilities at Baytree Cottage are extensive, with special mentions of the variety of games and the well-equipped kitchen. However, there are several remarks about maintenance issues such as a broken window catch, dripping taps, and a need for additional showers, suggesting room for improvement.

Guests have noted thoughtful gestures such as welcome gifts including cake and dog biscuits, which added a personal touch to their stay. However, it is important to note that such gifts are a bonus and not guaranteed with every visit.

The garden is large and really secure and the patio area is a nice sun trap. There is ample parking and the neighbours are friendly. The property is well located to access shops, bars and beaches. We had a wonderful 2 weeks, thank you.

This property ticked all our boxes and then some. It was clean, comfortable and so well equipped, I could have left half my stuff at home. The photo's do not do it Justice, The garden was level and safe for my toddlers to explore, all their plastic crockery, highchair, travel cot was provided. My 13 year old son asked for pen and paper to leave a note because he said it was one of the nicest places he'd stayed and he wanted to let them know. (he forgot when we left). There is a gaming room with games consoles, as well as a unit in the hall way full of toys, games, and reading matter. I felt like I had walked into someone's home, with all the necessities, luxuries and all the touches, that make it personal. Really Impressed, and will absolutely be returning.

No problems with cottage and we all liked the facilities for every age group. I would definitely recommend for big family group. It had great garden and games and toys for children. We spoke to neighbours and they were all friendly and knowledgeable about area. Plenty to do. Only one niggle was that on summary information on Sykes site for the cottage it said generous ferry discounts and were told there were none so ferry crossing for 2 cars was £250 each.
