This well presented terrace cottage offers comfortable accommodation with an enclosed courtyard where guests can sit back and take in the sea air.
The car and passenger ferry from Lymington to Yarmouth docks in the harbour making easy access to the cottage, just a short stroll away. Located on the western side if the island, Yarmouth is guarded by its 16th century castle, which is tucked away to the side of the ferry dock.
The town is steeped in history with some of the oldest architecture on the island, which is very evident as you explore the sights. The Grade II listed pier boasts great views across The Solent, and is also known locally for being an ideal spot for fishing. This is a bustling town all year round with a varied range of shops and an array of eateries and pubs. Further afield is an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty which includes The Needles, the stunning coloured sands at Alum Bay plus miles of outstanding scenery along the coast. Beach ½ mile. Shop, pub and restaurant 175 yards.

Character cottage in a quiet and convenient location for local amenities.There is no on street parking as indicated by the letting agents. The cottage was clean throughout and the kitchen well equipped. There was no facility for hanging clothing in the double bedroom and a step step down into the bathroom. We would have found a grab rail helpful.

It is very hard to be critical about what is obviously a dearly loved family home. We were particularly annoyed that although the owner informed us that the fridge door was broken and she had arranged for it to be fixed, we never heard from her again and never felt confident leaving ham, milk or other refrigerated items in there. No one came to repair or replace it.The inside of the house badly needs repainting, it is not really acceptable to have chipped paintwork and unpainted skirting boards. The kitchen table was impossible as you could not get any chairs to fit under it meaning you were perched in a really uncomfortable position. We also feel it would have been kind to have left us a spare bin bag and compost bag and a hand towel in the downstairs bathroom. Thank you for the very comfy beds, ideal weight duvet and nice pillows. We have stayed in over ten cottages in Yarmouth and are sorry this really was not good value for £1,268.Liz
