No smoking.. This three-bedroom barn cottage is located within the owners’ stunning grounds and has been finished and furnished to a very high standard. The property itself has three good sized double bedrooms (NB: double beds, not king size) and two bathrooms, making it ideal for family holidays and couples getaways. The barn is located centrally in Kent just 20 minutes from Canterbury city centre and from Dover Ferry Port, or going east, the golden sanded beaches of Ramsgate, Broadstairs, Margate and the picturesque coastal town of Deal.
Surrounding the barn are plenty of lovely walks and cycle routes for the exploring guests to wander. For golfers, only 8 miles away is Royal St. George’s in Sandwich, which hosts the Open Championships every few years, as well as Canterbury Golf Club & driving range and Broome Park Golf Club. For animal enthusiasts there is Wingham Wildlife Park and Howletts Wild Animal Park within 4 miles and 6 miles respectively. With so many things to see and do locally this property is a must! The property would serve well as a base for families and for couples looking to enjoy the countryside and seaside combined. Beach 9 miles.

The ARk Barn was the perfect accommodation for my family's staycation in Kent, beautifully presented and perfectly situated. Also very important point we were not continuously checked up on and just left to enjoy our holiday.

We came back to the Ark Barn for a second stay. This house has all you need!Nice bedrooms, great bathrooms and a kitchen with every tool you might need.We had great weather so the BBQ and the outdoor area were well used. The Ark Barn is very well located for sightseeing and shopping trips in Kent.The Griffins Head near the house serves great food and is a fun place for a drink.Chrissie is a great host! We, again, loved our stay!

We arrived in a very well equipped and comfortable house to a nice reception-gift from the host.Everything needed for a longer stay without having to bring a lot yourself or having to eat out every day is in place: like towels, kitchen towels, a washer, dishwasher, microwave, two ovens, etc... but it's the little things like a provided phone-charger in every bedroom, tissue-boxes throughout the house, small soaps, etc that really showed us the owners care about providing a good experience.We had very good weather during our stay and were able to eat outside on the picnic table and seperate table with plenty of chairs. We didn't use it, but there is also a barbecue available. With the hot weather we also enjoyed that there is plenty of shade around the Ark Barn, though you can also easily sit in the sun if you would prefer.We had an amazing stay, in no small part because of the fantastic location. Our week was filled with great day trips each within 25/30 minutes drive but we could have even done more. Only the length of our stay limited us in that regard.We would happily recommend the Ark Barn to people who want to visit Kent.
