Guests say

Guests have found 'Pax' to be a charming and cozy cottage with spacious rooms and a well-equipped kitchen. Its proximity to Dover and local amenities like a pub and village shop is appreciated. While there is mention of a slight damp smell and challenging road access, the overall experience is positive with a homely atmosphere.

The property is generally described as clean, with one review specifically noting it as 'spotlessly clean'. However, a slight damp smell was mentioned, slightly affecting the score.

The location is praised for being close to Dover and in the heart of a village, with easy access to local amenities and attractions. The challenging road and narrow path to the car park are noted, but do not significantly detract from the overall positive location feedback.

The cottage is consistently described as cozy and homey, with spacious rooms and a comfortable setting. The presence of a pub next door adds to the comfort for some guests.

Facilities are generally well-received, with a well-equipped kitchen and adequate amenities. However, there were minor issues with the heating system and a locked washing machine, indicating some room for improvement in maintenance.

There is no mention of gifts or special thoughtful touches provided by the host, so it is not possible to assess this category.

Nice cottage near the beach (15 mins walk). Has just about all the amenities one could ask for. Having a pub next door is awesome. Very quiet.

Great location for our trip. We used it as a base for visiting Dover, Canterbury and Deal. Clear information provided for accesing the property. Free parking is available in a nearby car park. The road outside the property is narrow so unloading the car is a bit tricky. On entry there was a slight damp smell but this only seemed to affect the downstairs entry. The main property was clean and the bedrooms spacious. Kitchen was well equipped (no dishwasher). Small village shop acros the road and a pub next door where we had a superb meal. We had a minor problem with the heating system which was rapidly dealt with by the owner.

We really enjoyed our stay with a great pub next door, shelagh sorted out two new tv,s for us in an instant, slight damp smell upon entering the hallway downstairs but lovely spacious flat upstairs, unloading the car on the busy narrow double yellowed road is traumatic,it really is chaotic with delivery wagons buses and general busy traffic ,the path to the public car park is narrow running out as you approach the brow of the hill .The road to the beach is very challenging narrow with sharp bends . We survived and thoroughly enjoyed the whole break .The washing machine was locked at 60 degrees we couldn't find the instructions, shelagh was very apologetic.
