The Honey House receives glowing feedback for its immaculate cleanliness, peaceful rural setting, and excellent facilities, making it a favourite for couples and dog owners alike. Guests appreciate the secure outdoor spaces, well-equipped interiors, and the warm welcome from the owner. The presence of friendly goats and thoughtful touches add to the charm. While a few guests mention a firm mattress and occasional Wi-Fi issues, the overall experience is highly positive, with many planning return visits. The property is ideally located for exploring Kent’s coast and countryside, offering a relaxing and comfortable retreat.
Cleanliness is consistently praised, with multiple guests describing the property as spotless, immaculately clean, and well maintained. Only one review mentions a desire for a deeper clean in some areas, but this is a rare exception.
The location is highly rated for its peacefulness, proximity to Sandwich and Kent’s coast, and suitability as a base for exploring the area. Guests enjoy the rural setting and easy access to local amenities, with only minor comments about the lack of footpaths and a high fence limiting views.
Most guests find the cottage very comfortable, cosy, and well suited for relaxation. A few mention the mattress being too firm for their preference and some minor issues with seating, but these are outweighed by positive comments about the overall comfort.
Facilities are widely praised, including secure dog paddocks, modern kitchen and bathroom, and good parking. Some guests mention minor improvements such as better Wi-Fi, more comfortable seating, or an EV charging point, but overall satisfaction is very high.
Guests frequently mention thoughtful touches such as welcome hampers and gifts, though it should be noted these are not guaranteed. The owner’s helpfulness and attention to guest needs are also highlighted, contributing to a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Situated on the outskirts of the small village of Eastry, with picturesque walking routes to the village, and the friendly village pub is a 15-minute walk or 2-minute drive away. The historic, charming town of Sandwich, a 5-minute drive away, is one of the best-preserved medieval towns in Britain, with its pretty streets lined with historic buildings and quaint cottages, set back from, and overlooking the quay, with a choice of independent restaurants, cafés, pubs and individual shops. There are boat trips from Sandwich taking you to marvel at the seals lining the edge of Pegwell Bay Nature Reserve, a real sight to see. For a day at the beach, Sandwich Bay is certainly worth a visit, whilst the shingled beach at Deal is also nearby, within a 15-minute drive; as well as the vibrant, creative centre of Deal, with intriguing art galleries, boutique shops, and excellent eateries. The Honey House really is in an ideal position for exploring much of Kent’s hot spots, coast, and countryside.

This is our third visit in two years, we like it so much we keep coming back. The location is perfect for us, in easy reach of all coast lines. The accommodation is comfortable and well equipped. It’s very easy to stay there, it’s just like being at home. The owner is very concerned that you have no problems and enjoy your stay. We will definitely return there in the near future.

We had a lovely stay at this place. It's very private, cosy and complete with all essentials and goodies. We enjoyed the enclosed garden and especially the fenced field for our dog where he had a great time running off-lead. The goats were friendly. The location was also perfect as pivot point to explore Kent and its beaches.

What a relaxing holiday! My first visit certainly won't be my last... in fact my next visit is already booked!Beautiful little property, immaculately clean, well presented and a generous welcome hamper provided.Convenient parking, and space for visitors also to put their car.A perfect base for me with my two Shih Tzus to spend time with friends in the area. Warm, cosy and for me, the icing on the cake was the paddock, which my dogs absolutely loved. Their on-lead gallops whacked them out which was a bonus. Enclosed courtyard garden was a big plus too.... (If I wanted total perfection, I would hope for a bolt inside the gate for peace of mind, as a supervised visiting two year old could open the latch and make a bid for freedom in a split second... Once we realised, I moved the garden furniture to resolve the problem... two year olds are FAST!...even while being supervised....but that's all.)All this and Netflix too... I was thoroughly spoilt! This peaceful rural idyll is a true gem, and I am already looking forward to returning later in the year. Thank you so much!
