We couldn't fault Treacle Cottage. It was extremely clean and there were lots of cleaning products in the cottage. This was our first visit to Kent and we feel that Treacle Cottage is ideally situated to explore. It's in a beautiful, quiet spot, but there was a delightful walk (about 2-3 miles) into Hythe along the Royal Military Canal. This was one of the highlights of our stay. Loads of wildlife to see, including a kingfisher! There were too many other highlights to mention here. We'll definitely be returning to both Kent and Treacle Cottage (unless this review causes it to be completely booked up next year!). I don't think anyone could possibly be disappointed with a stay at Treacle Cottage.
