The Jolly Boat fulfilled all our expectations as to its location (next to the Romney Hythe and Dymchurch steam railway and close to the delightful St Mary's Bay beach.) It was large, clean and comfortable, and the kitchen was very well equipped. particularly with two large fridges. Two bathrooms with beautiful loos, shower (in one of them) and bath with shower over bath in the other one. Beds and bedding (and towels) excellent. Parking easy. for two cars and space for a third one. Our only requests would be to ask for a set of shelves/chest of drawers on one of the main bedrooms in which to put clothes. Also, we would suggest the provision of a standard lamp in the lounge behind the grey sofa (very comfortable) to aid reading in that corner. We are booking again for 2006!

We have been holidaying in the UK every summer for the past 9 years as a family/ friends group and in the words of one of our teenagers, this was by far the best holiday. The cottage is spacious, well maintained and located next to the RHD railway with steam trains passing by for the children to see and enjoy. It is located on a quiet private road but so close to the beach that we could enjoy it without having to pay expensive car parking fees. The garden is lovely and the owners have provided lots of outdoor games to play.It is the perfect holiday cottage

We had a wonderful stay at the Jolly Boat. It was the best equipped self catering property we have ever stayed in and was finished to a much higher standard than we expected from the photos. The rooms were all lovely and the cottage had so much charm, character and interesting history. The kids loved having the steam train so close! The garden was beautifully kept and perfect for relaxing in and the cottage was situated well for visiting Port Lympne, Hythe, Dymchurch and riding the RH&DR. The owners communicated clearly, check in/out was easy and cleaning was to a high standard. Would 100% recommend.
