This single storey, detached property has been decorated and furnished to a good standard. Perfect for families, walkers, cyclists and golfers, and boasting three spacious bedrooms (the twin bedroom has sea views), and two comfortable living rooms. The private and lawned garden is enclosed and pet friendly and garden furniture is provided to enjoy during the summer months.
The North Foreland Golf Club clubhouse is 1 mile away and there are three pub/restaurants within walking distance. Guests can enjoy the local beach, just a short walk (ramp access available) from Hideaway Cottage, plus explore Viking Bay and its coastal walk. Folk week is a popular summer festival held each year in Broadstairs, attracting bands and acts from across the country during the week-long celebration. There are a number of other events held throughout the year including the Dickens Week, a food festival and a water gala. Margate provides an excellent day out for all the family. There are sandy beaches lined with cafes and shops and ’Dreamland’, the UK’s original pleasure park full of traditional rides and themed festivals perfect for kids. For adults the internationally acclaimed Turner Contemporary showcases both old and modern works from the renowned artist who so loved this stunning seascape. Canterbury is the must see city in Kent, explore the famous cathedral and walk along the historic city walls, take a stroll down the cobbled streets and shop in the local boutique stores. Day trips to London and France are easily accessible from Kent with high speed trains, Eurostar services and ferry crossings. Beach ¼ mile. Shop ½ mile, pub and restaurant ¼ mile.

The two of us - plus dog - had a very comfortable stay in the bungalow and we'd be happy to stay again. A few minor issues with loose shower tap, but otherwise well equipped (dryer would be welcome addition for winter months), clean and cozy, and even a small welcome pack was thoughtfully provided, which included treats for our pooch Monty! Thank you.

This is our 3rd time of staying at Hideaway which must speak for itself. We like its closeness to the sea and the Viking trail, which is only a walk down the road. You can take the trail along the coast to Margate and Broadstairs.Hideaway has everything you need whether it was just a couple like us and our dog or a family or larger group.With the two lounges it makes it easy to have time to yourself or to watch different programmes on the TV.There is space for one car on the driveway but in busy times, parking in the road can be limited, so widening the driveway longer term would be beneficial if you were visiting with 2 cars, or at a push you could park on the grass!!We noticed this year that the two very nice settees in the first lounge had got very soft and saggy, which is a shame as they were very comfortable. But i suppose that's the downside of lots of visitors. The settee in the 2nd lounge is great but unfortunately that TV is not a Smart TV so does not offer Netflix, Prime etc.We like visiting this part of Kent and hopefully will be returning to Hideaway again in the future.
