This delightful, Grade ll listed, terraced property is located on the sea front in Ramsgate, Kent. Once belonging to the Admiralty, this property is full of character and charm. Coastguard Retreat offers three spacious bedrooms, two with sea views, a well-equipped kitchen and an open plan living/dining area with uninterrupted sea views. The property has been lovingly decorated and furnished to an excellent standard.
Located within a stone’s throw of the sea, this property is a lovely sea side location for couples, friends and families to enjoy. The local pub is a short walk away, and there is plenty to explore in the local area. The picturesque, royal harbour area has many bars and cafés open all year round and boasts incredible views across to France on a clear day. The town also boasts a variety of beaches. The area is steeped in history with its stunning architecture and heroic role it played in World War II. There are miles of walks, including the famous Viking Trail, plenty of cycle routes, three large golf courses and several nature reserves at Pegwell and Sandwich.
There are good transport connections to London by either train or bus, or visit Ashford for rail connections to enjoy a day trip to France. Canterbury, with its incredible cathedral, boutique shops and dominant city walls, can be quickly reached by bus, train or car. Beach 100 yards. Shop and restaurant ¼ mile, pub 100 yards.

A gem of a find! I booked for myself and my mum and her dog as a short break away for her birthday. The property is lovely and a quiet location. We had everything we needed. Lovely linen, and a brand new fridge for anyone reading previous reviews. We enjoyed sitting outside having a cuppa in the early morning sunshine which we were lucky to have mid March. Communication was good . Thank you for the great welcome pack! We parked along the front of the property with no trouble. Just for info we had nice lunch one day at the hotel next door very reasonable. Good foord and portion sizes. Not sure there is free wi fi, we couldn't find a code but looking at the property info I don't think it states free wi fi so that was just an assumption on my part. We would definitely recommend and book again.

Lovely little cottage with everything you need. Had a 3 night stay. Good value for money & a welcome pack included which was a nice touch. Enclosed green outside which is ideal for dogs. Very close to the Ramsgate tunnels which we visited & a short drive to Margate & Broadstairs. Nice walk along the sea front to a park and a short walk to the town in the other direction. Very enjoyable stay.

Great location on the sea. Lovely view to wake up to each morning. Fab communication from the property owner and nice touches like fresh flowers, wine and essentials on arrival. Comfortable beds and efficient heating system (which was very welcome in March)! Shower was a bit tricky to use as the temperature gauge was very stiff.
