Fantastic stay at Greenhill Farmhouse, the team couldn't have been more helpful on arrival and everything we needed in the house was provided. Unfortunately the hot tub wasn't available when we arrived but we received a partial refund very quickly. The location was perfect, instructions for everything were super clear and communication was fantastic throughout. The only thing I would say to note is, don't have the heating on at night because the noise from the pipes might keep you awake (or make you think there's a ghost in the room ;-). All round 5 star stay.

I was very happy with the farmhouse and very much enjoyed our stay there. However, I was not at all impressed with Cottages.com. I received an email shortly before departure telling me that the hot tub was no longer available. I accepted this without question as it was down to an urgent health and safety issue. However, I was not getting everything that I had paid for, and some members of my family were looking forward to using this, so I asked for a partial refund. When I got through to an online "chat" with the company, they initially denied that such a message had been sent at all. When I copied and pasted the content of that email, the answer was essentially "it's nothing to do with us, ask the owner", which was incredibly unhelpful. At no point did their representative offer to take things up with them on my behalf. When I did get through to the very helpful owners, they arranged a refund with Cottages.com but I was appalled to hear that Cottages had suggested to them that they had already offered me a discount. That was absolutely not true and I very much doubt that I would book through this company again.

We had a wonderful time celebrating a 60th birthday with family at Greenhill Farmhouse. Absolutely beautiful home, spacious and perfect for what we needed. Kitchen is well equipped with all the essentials, plenty of seating space and large bedrooms with nice en-suites. Greenhill is located around beautiful scenery and very close to Oxford. The owners had put the heating on for our arrival which was amazing on a cold, wet day! The only thing that let us down was a smell of cigarette smoke which was very distinctive in the kitchen and front bedroom above the kitchen. We saw people smoking outside in the car park area, so wonder if that was the reason for the smell. It was a bit of a shame for us non smokers staying in the farmhouse.
